I love rye bread. I had it for the first time on a visit to New York, but never thought I would be able to make it. As a matter of fact, I never even thought one day I would be baking bread for my family. It has taken some time for my family to adjust to the taste of it, but finally they have gotten so used to it, they absolutely love it!!!

Ingredients:

Ingredients:
400 g rye all purpose flour
100 g dark rye flour
10 g fresh yeast
10 g salt
350 g water (350 ml, but it is more reliabñe is the water is weighed).

Instructions:

Preheat oven at 250ºC. Mix both types of flour and once mixed, use your fingers to rub the yeast into the mixture of flours. Add salt and water and continue to mix and knead with your hands. Experts say it is not necessary to add flour while kneading, but I did it, otherwise it would have been impossible to mix well.
Make a round bread. With a sharp blade do 3-4 cuts of approximately 2 cms each on top and place it in the center of the oven until done.
