This is such an easy recipe to make and has been enjoyed by many here at the office. It's very simple to make!

100g/40z granulated Sugar
175g/6oz golden syrup
200ml/7fl oz milk
50g/2oz sultanas
225g/8oz self-raising flour
1tsp baking powder
50g/2oz walnuts (roughly chopped)
1egg, beaten
1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas4. Lightly grease and baseline a 900g/2lb loaf tin with greased grease proof paper (i usually just use a non-stick loaf tin).
2. Measure the sugar, syrup, milk and sultanas, into a pan and heat gently until the sugar has dissolved. Leave to Cool.
3. Measure th flour and baking powder into a bowl and add the roughly chopped walnuts. Add the colled syrup misture to the dry ingredients with the beaten egg and stir well until the misture is smooth. Pour into the prepared tin.
4. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 50-60 mins or until firn. Leave to cool in the tin for about 10 mins, then turn out and leave to cool completely. Serve buttered.
